Visit the main hall and read about Crewe’s railway and town history. Also let the kids pretend to be an engine driver in the “Columbine” steam locomotive cab, play in the children’s area with the 47 cab simulator, model railway, radio controlled cars and jigsaws. Mum and Dad might also be interested in Harry Watson’s paintings of Crewe, plenty to see for young and old. The Exhibition Hall also regularly houses visiting model railways from around the country. During the course of 2016 there will be ongoing changes within the exhibition hall as it is restored to full use following the departure of the workshop area formerly occupied by our tenants LNWR Heritage. As a result displays are subject to change during the course of the season as more space becomes available for use. We are always looking for new material to exhibit especially items relevant to Crewe and its history. We welcome artefacts both railway and non-railway related. Please contact the Centre Manager if you have something you wish to loan or donate for display.
