We are pleased to announce that the world famous locomotive number 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ is making a return visit to the Heritage Centre on the evening of Tuesday May 16th. The locomotive is expected to arrive around 7.30pm having worked a train from Edinburgh to Crewe during the day. It will be departing around 9.20am on Friday 19th May to work another train to South Wales via Shrewsbury.
As we are normally closed during mid week, we are making an exception on this occasion in order to give people the opportunity to come and see the locomotive up close whilst it is serviced at the Centre during its stay. We will be opening fully on the Wednesday and Thursday 17th/18th May from 10.00am until 8pm each day and all our regular attractions will also be open to visitors as well. Subject to availability there may be an opportunity for footplate access to the locomotive for an additional fee of £2 per person.
PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL NOT BE OPEN TO VISITORS ON THE TUESDAY EVENING OR FRIDAY MORNING.
Admission prices are our normal fees of Adults – £5, Children (5-16) and Seniors (60+) – £3 and Families – £10
