It was pleasing to see the excellent turnout of visitors both on the Tuesday evening (June 7th) and the following morning (June 8th) and the following Tuesday evening (June 14th)  and Wednesday morning (June 15th) for the two overnight layovers of ‘Flying Scotsman’. We had approximately 2000 visitors over the four days, despite the unsettled weather the second week.  The Heritage Centre received much publicity on local radio which helped boost our visitor figures.
